Hi guys,

My wife has an interview scheduled for July 15th and we are trying to figure out all the logistics and return trip planning.

I was wondering does the US Embassy in Jakarta issues the visa same day as the interview? I looked up the country/embassy thread in the forum but a lot of the info there seems out dated.

Can anyone that had gone through the interview recently answer this question for me please?

Thanks so much

Hi,

It is always wiser to plan after the visa is in hand. Or book flights that can be refunded.

Usually it takes several days for them to process. I personally have never heard of same day processing.

In my case I was in administrative processing for two weeks before I received the visa. So you might want to take that into consideration, hopefully the interview went smoothly for your wife.

If you check out the Indonesian portal, you can read up other members experiences and some are pretty recent.

I wish you both best of luck on your journey.
