My fiancee paid the K1 visa fee at the bank yesterday at 9:00AM. We filled out all the info on the

embassy website for scheduling an interview. MNL number and receipt numbers were entered. How

do we know the embassy actually received the payment from the bank? Is something indicated on the

dashboard? I do see a fee of $240. but I am assuming that is just info on the cost of the visa.

Thanks for your help

From what I can remember, as long as it allows you to continue and it shows you to a page for "Schedule Consular Appointment", the receipt number you entered is valid and already confirmed in the system. Otherwise, it will give you some sort of "error message". I think the $240 will show on the dashboard only if your receipt number is accepted. In my case last year, I had to call the hotline if my payment is confirmed since I paid online.

For now, you might not see any calendar dates for embassy interview. But do keep checking the left panel of your dashboard should there be any appointment date available, as random cancellations still do pop-up.

When I click continue is takes me to a page that shows my receipt number. When I click continue again, it says

no appointments available. It did not take me to the "Schedule Consular Appoitment" page. Does this mean

my receipt number has not been confirmed in the system yet?

Your receipt number is accepted because you didn't get an error message, just that there is no available calendar of appointments currently. There are are recent ongoing threads in the PH forum for those who are looking out for schedules now:

Its their way of saying "Welcome to the waiting game" lol you are okay, just wait for Available date to pop up before you can continue and schedule your consular appointment. :)

Sweet Cakes got it right ... so now you enjoy the wait for a appointment opening.

1st do not continually click to continue to the calendar, stay on the dashboard page and watch the left side of the screen, when a date appears there THEN continue to the calendar. If you keep clicking to view the calendar you will get timed out.

So when a date appears on the bottom left corner of the dashboard, do you click on continue or click

on New Application/Schedule Appointment?

Here is the info I have:

Click continue link at the top left of the DB again, quickly scroll to the bottom of the page and click the continue button on the bottom right.

If you click schedule or change appointment that takes you through 5 pages of your data and you lose the appointment.

the packet online states u have to wait 7-10 days after medical before you can schedule an interview. is that firmly enforced or more of a general rule of thumb or guideline?

Ive seen so many appointments I could have grabbed but my fiance is currently taking the medical as we speak

Thank you

Instruction says: "...complete your medical examination at least a week before your interview appointment."

That refers to before the scheduled interview date, NOT prior to scheduling. Since recently, people are getting dates that are too soon, it's indeed a good idea to have the medical done now, so you guys can grab an interview date even if it's going to be a few days later. Just be mindful that the visa validity is +6months from the medical date.

What the instructions letter states is to do the medical AT LEAST a week before the interview. Do not hesitate to grab an interview date, even if it gets a little "close", better to wait for the files to catch up with each other then to wait for another interview date to open up.

n. MEDICAL EXAMINATION. All K1 and K2 visa applicants must complete a medical examination at St.
Luke’s Extension Clinic at least a week before the interview appointment. Refer to the instructions (see
separate page) regarding the medical examination.
