Well,

I bought a RC truck on a garage sale, but have any information on the type of battery. I'm not sure it's a 9.6 volt, so i want some help.

I don't have the name of the truck also, it's written Maykasing on the tires.

So here is the plugpost-36355-0-54222200-1403095585_thumb.jpgpost-36355-0-47300200-1403095617_thumb.jpgpost-36355-0-12629700-1403095643_thumb.jpg

And is it nimh, nicd? (don't know the difference but it doesn't matter, lol)

Thank you

Nimh stands for Nickelmetal hydride and nicd stands for nickel cadmium. That's just what the battery is made of. Lithium ion is another type that is more common these days. However, they can all be interchangeable somewhat except for your case. What I mean by that is your charger is likely designed for nickel batteries if that's what you have. What's much more important for you is size (so it fits in the compartment) and voltage/amp output. I'm going to assume you don't know what this means or what your current battery is rated for and suggest you look for the battery model number and start searching eBay. Or find the rc car manufacturer/model number and call them to ask for a replacement battery.

Thank you. I bought it on a garage sale. I don't have no information, the car model, the type of battery...are unknown.

Even when i'm clicking the name that I see on the tires (maykasing), i receive information in chinese.

Target, radio shack, amazon are unable to help me. Even when i showed them my RC truck.

Some people suggested me a 9.6v battery. It looks like it's that but i wanted to confirm.

thanks for the information, i think that it's what I have to do.

It's your best bet. bring it with you and let them take a look at it. They should be able to hook you up with a battery that will work. Do you have charger or do you need one too? How about the radio?

I will need the charger too. I have the remote.

I think that radio= remote??

Yep, radio=remote. I have no idea what quality level truck you have. You can spend several hundred and then customize from there. I had a Tamiya Clodbuster 4X4 many years ago and a Futaba radio. I had a friend who was really into the planes. It is an excellent hobby. They make nitro cars and trucks that use the same fuel as the RC airplanes too. Battery power is simpler, but the gas engine stuff is pretty wild.

Thanks, I don't have the charger, any notices. so i will have to buy a charger.

So if i buy my own charger (I will more likely buy one for nicd and nimh) , i can use either nimh or nicd battery. Is it correct?

Yeah i can see what kind of size (it's more likely a 9.6v) and voltage/amp (don't know, but will do more research)-

I have no battery model number also (bought it on a garage sale to a woman who didn't know anything about it, just that when her sons own it, the truck was working).

the rc manufacturer is even hard to find online (lol), but i'm gathering some infos.

thanks
