I was reading the instructions to file I 485 and they said that I´m not eligible to do it

I came to US as a visitor with a b2 Visa, I applied for an extension twice, the first one I got it, but the second one they denied. One of my reasons to ask for an extension is that in the middle of my time here, I felt in love with my friend, we were dating and get engaged, than we told them that we are planning to get married and since they don´t have another kind of visa that applies to my situation we decieded to apply for another extension. As I mencioned before, they denied my second request and I became illegal. A month and half ago we finally got married, today I was completing my 485, when I discover that my situation is not specified in part 2 Application part. My husband and I tought that I could apply as a "h" (other basis of elibility), but, while I was reading the instructions to complete the form http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-485instr.pdf, there said that I´m not eligible if my autorization to stay here expiered. And now, I really don´t know what I need to do. What you guys think and can say about my situation?

Thank you very much.

throw in an I-130 with that I-485 - and follow GUIDE2 here in the Guides section.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Yes you can stay here you just have to adjust your status and ask for your residence only if your husband is a us citizen I did the same thing came here with a visa in 2006 and got married in 2009 and now I'm a US citizen.

Overstay is not an issue when married to a USC. If you are married to a US citizen, then follow this guide. > http://www.visajourney.com/content/i130guide2

Thank you guys, all of you helped me to calm down, and I really apreciate that. I have 2 questions:

1. In part 1 when they ask about my current USCIS, what I need to put there? I need to say that I´m b2 visa holder or I need to say something else?

2. In part 2 of 485 when they ask the reason of my application, I couldn´t see any answer that applies to me. What option I need to choose? "H" and explain my reason maybe?

Once more, thank you guys!

Just say B2 visa holder. If they want to, they can figure out your I-94 expired on their own since for US citizen spouse it's not relevant.
