Summary: My hubby is from Jordan. At the time I had a crush on his brother but turns out his bro is all stuck up so he was the next best thing, lol. We married on April the 16th and sent our paperwork out that next week via our lawyer. He came here on a visitors visa.

I checked the USCIS website for a case status update and we are still at the Initial review stage.

May 13, 2014, we received this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice.

We went for his biometrics & fingerprinting and photo on June 10th.

***Not to get off topic but the chick working at the center where he did his biometrics was FLIRTING so hard with him!!!! I was so angry! There was an elderly couple from the UK sitting in front of me and they kept repeating her little "cute" comments and turning back to look at me and they were laughing! They knew that woman was out of line and saw the anger on my face and thought that was funny. :ranting: I don't play about my man.***

Anyway.....this is my 2nd marriage and the 2nd time I'm going through with this immigration thing. I was married before in 2001 and have heard that the process has changed. Back then we had a lawyer and as I remember the process was easy. Doing the interview the immigration officer didn't ask any questions.

7-09: I-485 updated to Testing & Interview + Called USCIS to request expedited EAD card.

7-14,15: Proof for expedite reason requested & faxed the next day

7-16,18: Expedite request under review & EAD card in production! <expedite request success>

7-23, 24: EAD card shipped via USPS and recieved!

7-29: Applied for SS card in office.

8-6: SS card received!

10-16: Interview day!!!!

The fact that this is the second time you're doing it makes it more complicated. Be ready for that.

That is what I am thinking, that we will have an in depth interview since this is the 2nd time I've filed a petition for a husband.

Yes that is correct, I-130+I-485.........and it was more than some flirting.

I got married in 2003 and divorced in 2006 (I had an extramarital affair and got knocked up by another guy).

So I've been divorced for 8 years now.

Received by Embassy: 7/21/2014 - Status: READY

Packet 3.5: 7/24/2014

Packet 3.5 Sent: 8/7/2014 (We had delays because of civil unrest in Pakistan)

Embassy Receive: 8/21/2014 (Again delays due to civil unrest)

Receive Appointment Letter/Interview Date: 8/27/2014 (interview date in just 9 days)!

Medical Exam: 8/29/2014 (Yikes! The whole thing has now been postponed for 2 months for TB testing)

Interview Date: Originally 9/5/2014 - Now Postponed for at least two months

TB Test Results: 10/15/2014 - came back 18 days early! And she's negative!

Interview Rescheduled 10/17/2014: (embassy moving at lightning speed)!

New Interview Date: 10/29/2014 APPROVED!!!

CEAC Updates to AP: 11/13/2014

CEAC Updates to ISSUED!! 11/14/2014

Visa In-Hand: 11/24/2014

Arrival in USA: 11/27/2014 -- 11 MONTHS, 1 WEEK, 4 DAYS AFTER NOA1

MARRIED: 11/30/2014 !!!
