Hello guys!

I am here to provide you now with my experience for the medial exam I had today while it's still fresh in my mind in Ciudad Juarez.

My appointment was at 9AM but it didn't matter because they do not follow the appointment times, at least not the one I went to (Clinica Medica Internacional) which is right next to the Consulate.

Now, when you go there, they first collect your passport, appointment conformation from the ASC and Consular Interview and the letter from the Consulate that states you can start your process ( the one that says in bold that if you do not have it, you cannot enter) then they take your right index finger prints 4 times and then send you to another line.

Once you are in the 2nd line, you will be there to have someone check your documents and will ask you to give 2 numbers ( cell phone and home number) and provide them the hotel where you're staying and what room. Then the person will give you a ticket and she will send you to a 3rd where they will take your papers and give you a bracelet with a barcode which will be your ID for the rest of the medical exam.

Once you get the bracelet the medical begins. They send you to the Laboratorio where they will scan your barcode, and give you a paper that you will need for the doctor to fill out. They will also draw blood from you and then send you to a 4th line for the eye vision test.

For the eye vision test if you wear glasses take them because they will test your eye sight with and without them, then they will send you to the 5th line which is for X-rays and medical exam,

At the 5th line you will be waiting for about 1hr and a half. They will take one by one or if there is a lot of people 2 by 2 to have your X-rays done. They ask you to take off your shirt and then it takes no more than 5 min to have your X-rays taken. Then they send you outside again (same spot where you were sitting) and wait for the doctor to call you for the medical exam. This is where you do have to wait longer.

Once the doctor call you, he calls in a group of about 8-10 people at once, inside they check your info, ask you to provide name and such info and in a monitor, they ask if the person that appears is yourself and your signature. They make you read a statement where you have to agree that you give them permission to send your info to the consulate and such. Click agree and then they make you go in a room to get undressed ( guys only in underwear and socks and women completely nude) and wait for the doctor to come in.

Once the doctor goes in, she will check for tattoos. They also use a UV light in case you have glow in the dark tattoos, then she asks if you have piercings, I do and asks if you still wear them, I do. Then she checks your genitals. She does not touch them (yes my doctor was a woman, awkward) apbut she looks at them really fast and that's it. She checks pressure and heart and such...then, the questioning part which is the one I'm scared of the most! She asks if you drink or smoke ( I don't smoke but I'm a social drinker) she asked me how often do I drink and I said occasionally so like 1 or 2 times a month, she asks if you have scars or have had any serguries in the past, if you have health problems, take meds and the she finally asks if you do or have done any type of drugs. If you say no then all is good and she sends you to pay and you are out....however if you say yes, she sends you take a pee test, then to the psychologist for further questioning, DO NOT LIE. If you have done it, be honest about it. I told her I have done it and the last time I did it was about 2 years ago. If you have done it, once you take the pee test you pay and go to the psychologist where she then asks you, when you first did it, how many times you did it and when was the last time. Do not be afraid because they will make you feel like a pn a user, at least that's the way I felt because when I told her that I never had a problem with police for trying weed, she looked at me like I was lying..,they pretty much think you're lying and are a drug abuser, once that's done. She will tell you what time to pick it.

That's all I have on my experience guys I hope it helps as far as the medical exam goes!

Now my question is for anyone that has taken the medical exam. Will it affect me that I tried weed before? I don't like smoking and personally hate it, but will affect me if I tried it? This one makes me afraid because the psychologist really made me feel like an abuser when I'm not! And I'm not sure if she will put that I am? Any help is welcome

Thanks guys! And good luck!

It is possible that you could receive a one year ban due to the drug use, and you may have to prove you have remained clean during that year. However, I have also seen approvals of those that have admitted to past drug use. You will have to wait for the interview. I wish you luck!

Hi Arroyo:

Thanks for the up to date info on the Medical. I have made a copy to help my wife through that step.

Please inform us of details of the interview day. More details the better.

Right now, I am interested in how they are going to handle the documents -- separating the originals from the copies. How might we arrange them?

I was considering submitting the forms and attachments (copies) intact in the order originally emailed and keeping the originals to one side. We might want to keep some of the originals.

Hope things go well for you tomorrow. Is it best to skip a day between the medical and the interview? This seems to be what you are doing and what we had planned also.

Thanks,

Vernon

Hello!

Yes, I will post my interview process tomorrow when I'm out and be as detailed as possible. Now for the medical I did make sure to have a day in between because I knew that my medical exam would not be ready that same day since it took me almost half the day to get through the medical so for the medical yes make the appointment one day and give yourself a day in between to make sure just in case it is not ready that same day. As far as the documents, all MY civil documents such as Birth Certificate, passport are originals as well as the affidavits and letters from the bank. I guess what I'm trying to say is, take the originals with you just in case they require an original document. All my proof from my fiancé's citizenship is copy but you can take originals...just done expect to get it bCk ? best if luck and if you have any questions feel free to ask me!

I made my fiancée a duplicate file of the original file. The original file had passport, original birth certificate, etc. she essence took two complete files.

Whe you go inside the consulate you will be in a line where they will ask you for certain documents. They took the I 134 with tax transcripts, 2 photos, and original birth certificate.

Good luck.

Yes there are consequences for admitting drug use, but those are very small compared to the consequences for being caught lying. Lying will get you a lifetime ban and possible criminal charges as well.
