I have 221g also.my interview was last june 10..they said we need to find a co-sponsor because my husband's annual salary last 2013 was only for November to December coz he ends his contract Dec2012 and stayed in the Philippines with me till September 2013.then he found a job and started working November 2013 only so we didn't meet the required annual salary.today I sent them all the documents they needed from the petitioner and co-sponsor.

From Petitioner

- Affidavit of Support (I-864) with original signature

- Evidence of current sustained income

From a Qualified Joint Sponsor anyone

- Affidavit of Support (I-864) with original signature

- US Federal Income Tax Return(s) for year(s) for 2013

- W-2 Form(s) for year(s) for 2013

- Form I-864A signed by Petitioner and spouse/co-resident with original signatures for

- Evidence of current sustained income

today I sent them all those docs.the courier said the embassy will receive it on Wednesday. I hope it goes well...I want to know how long the 221g usually takes? I'm so devastated and sad right now because of that 221g.TIA

No one can tell you how long it will take for them to review the evidence you've sent them.

hi. I was interviewed june 10 2014..the CO told me all my docs are ok and took my passport except to my Petitioner's AOS so before they approve my visa we have to send them some docs or find a co-sponsor.Because my husband's annual salary last year was only below the poverty line.because he was living with me here in the Philippines from Dec2012 to Sept2013 so he started working Nov2013.his annual salary covers only the month of Nov and Dec 2013.we didn't know they will base the capability of the petitioner to sponsor a visa to their last year annual salary and ITR although the petitioner is currently working and capable to sponsor for his wife.earning above the poverty line.so the CO gave me 221g written below:

From Petitioner

- Affidavit of Support (I-864) with original signature

- Evidence of current sustained income

From a Qualified Joint Sponsor anyone

- Affidavit of Support (I-864) with original signature

- US Federal Income Tax Return(s) for year(s) for 2013

- W-2 Form(s) for year(s) for 2013

- Form I-864A signed by Petitioner and spouse/co-resident with original signatures for

- Evidence of current sustained income

we did it and find a co-sponsor who's earning 65,000 annually with 4 household including me.and gave them my husband's employer's certificate proof that he just started working last Nov2013.letter from him why he didn't earn enough last year...his proof of assests and his latest payslips...for the co-sponsor..his US passport copy...W2..ITR...latest payslips and their 1-864 and I-864A with their original signatures. .I sent yesterday to the embassy...I want to know does anybody experienced it and how long they get their visa after they sent the docs..I'm so devastated and disappointed right now why we paid the NVC for reviewing our docs and yet they didn't advice us about this.it should be done before the interview if they even tell us we need this.

Hi, we have d same situation. I was also interviewed last june 5 and just like you i was asked to submit an AOS forthe joint sponsor before visa issuance. Its because my husband's current income was also below d poverty line but we used for supplemental income by then but still they didnt consider it. I also felt devastated at that time, i just have to be strong though for my hubby coz he's been feeling so down that time.

I submitted my docs last june 17 and my case was updated june 20. Then upon checking it was updated again last June 27 but still on AP and felt depressed that time coz it was updated and yet still on AP. Fortunately, i checked again a while back and finally it was issued.hoping to have my visa on hand SOON. I am also hoping than yours will be issued too soon. Lets hope and pray that we'll get through this journey... God bless
