1 week now and check still has not been cashed?

my fiance came on a K1 and I mailed the AOS packet off 6/5, it was delivered on 6/7 and the check still has not been cashed. She also never received a text or e-mail since we filled out the g-1145. It seems odd to me that its been 1 week and the check still hasn't been cashed. Is this normal?

It may take 30 days for uscis to send a notification. On the average though, it's approximately 2-3 weeks from when they received your application. One positive indication is when they have cashed your check, expect the e-notification within 1- 2 days from then, and another ~5 business days for the actual NOA to arrive by mail.

Completely agree with Hypnos. This is a long process and depending on whether or not you have an interview or get it waived can increase your whole process by 8-12 motnhs. Good luck with your proceess.
