Where do I begin?

My girlfriend is currently living in the United States, and myself in Canada. I do not know what to do to start the process of moving there, I do not have a job lined up or have a degree in any specific field. We are both at a loss of what I need to do, who i need to talk to etc. Does anyone have any experience in this situation that could help?

Darnell's posted link is a very helpful comparison between choosing the fiance or spousal visa, if both of you want to stay in US. But of course, you have to talk and decide first if it's US or Canada where you want to stay as a married couple. Or if you really want to get married in the first place ... One step at a time ...

Sounds like you wouldn't qualify for a TN or H visa. You might be able to go temporarily on a J visa. Otherwise, marriage is the only way.
