Hey,

So I changed my address online on the 6th of this month and in the mail I got a notification from the USCIS on Saturday that they accepted the petitioners change of address for the I-130, but I haven't received anything regarding the one for the beneficiary (me) for the I-485 or the I-765. Does that typically take longer?

They said when I submitted that I should be informed of something by the 18th so I was going to call them then for that reason (and to make sure my snail mail I-864 change of address got there as well) I just thought since I submitted them at the same time, I should have gotten them all back at the same time.

Anyone experienced this?

My wife submitted her part for the I-130 online and then mailed the I-864 snail mail.

I submitted the I-485 and I-785 change of address + AR-11 right after the I-130 was submitted.

Literally a minute or two apart.

I don't think you need to worry about or wait for confirmation. But I do wonder, for a pending case, you also need to phone in the change. Did you do that too?

You have your interview soon so you can check on it at that point too. I think you just have pre-interview jitters.

No I didn't call, however the letter says "You called us recently to change your address" and that the change of address has been accepted. I figured that was the generic letter they sent out.

Should I just give them a call on the 18th regardless?

I definitely have the jitters. I prepared all my interview stuff months ahead of time but I still feel like I don't have everything completely sorted out eek!

In case it makes you feel better, I organized all our paperwork using your amazing list and guess what: the IO didn't ask to see ANYTHING!!! She said she was all set as our petition included plenty! So try not to stress too much about it all, if you front loaded they may not even want to see other stuff. All she literally asked for is both our passports, drivers licenses, social security cards, and my EAD (which she took right away saying I don't need this any more!) ... I spent hours organizing/copying/completing my wedding photo album. It didn't even come out of the bag!

You'll be fine. The interview was nowhere near as scary as I thought it might be. It's actually more stressful waiting for the online update now!!!

I called the USCIS to tell them I hadn't gotten any notifications for my Change of Address I did online regarding the I-765 and the I-485, just the I-130. They said they can't do anything unless it's been 30 days. I have all the confirmation numbers, they said to call back on the 6th but in the event that they prove to be less helpful, do I just bring all the confirmation numbers and emails to the interview? Would they be able to change my address there to make sure the GC got sent to the right place?

I did the change of address online (I-130 for the petitioner, I-485, I-131, I-765 for me) on the 16th and got an email the same day about the change of address for the I-765. Today I got an actual letter in the mail (at the new address) confirming it... only for the I-765. Did you have the same issue?

Yeah, except only for the I-130. So they only gave me "proof" of one petition approved.

Well, now in the mail today I got that they accepted my I-865 form for my Sponsor (wife's) change of address. I don't know why I haven't heard anything about the I-765 or the I-485 yet, I wonder if beneficiary petitions take longer to update or something....

I don't think so, since I (petitioner) got the notification but my husband hasn't gotten his. We filed the I-865 later though.

Got the confirmation for the I-130 in the mail yesterday. I wonder if they lumped the I-765, I-131 and I-485 into one confirmation and called it "I-765". Nothing on the I-865 yet, but my interview is coming up in a few days so I should find out.

Good luck :) keep us updated.

I got a notification that my I-765 was just approved today, so that might be why they focused on that confirmation.

I resubmitted my I-485 address change online at my lawyer's request.
