I say within 45 days. Maybe within 60.

oh really? i thought its gonna be like a week or 2 weeks... coz we're just waiting for the interview letter :)

That was the case in the good ol' days, before Typhoon Haiyan and the expedited cases of those in the affected areas. Now interview dates are at a premium.

Your son is currently in the Philippines, right?

But many others were and are they are moved to the front of the line.

They end up with priority.

Yes he is.

Okay, then my first reply applies. The petitions (all types of petitions) of those affected by Typhoon Haiyan are being expedited by USEM. Therefore, interview appointments are a challenge to secure for everyone needing an interview in Manila.

I have to assume that:

1. husband paid all fees online with NVC and

2. husband handled the DS-260 and I-864 submittals and

3. NVC has given him notice of 'case complete' on the caseile.

If none of that is true - please say so ?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

All correct! but for the case complete notice they did not send us one, I called NVC earlier and they told me that the case is already complete :)

so - count forward from the case complete date - 45 to 60 days.

the Interview Letter should arrive WITHIN 60 days or within 45 days.

within != on

within != >

so bear that in mind.
