Hi,

Its been 2 weeks that I have applied for a new SSN number and when I submitted the docs they said you will get it in a weeks time.

Is there a number of a website where I can check the status? Thanks for your help in advance.

You can go back to the office and inquire about it. No website.

you could have gone back next day and gotten the number, or learned of additional DHS verification started.

call someone? no - go in person.

Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

As what Harpa and Darnell said, you have to go in person again to inquire about it. I have tried their landline before, aside from waiting for over 50 minutes, the person I spoke to was also useless. Literally.

Btw, I received my SS card a week after application. I read some received theirs in 2-3 weeks. It shouldn't be long for you now.
