LOS ANGELES (AP) — Casey Kasem, the internationally famous radio host with the cheerful manner and gentle voice who became the king of the top 40 countdown with a syndicated show that ran for decades, died Sunday. He was 82.

Danny Deraney, publicist for Kasem's daughter, Kerri, says Kasem died Sunday morning. A statement issued by the family says he died at 3:23 a.m. on Father's Day morning surrounded by family and friends at a Washington state hospital.

"Even though we know he is in a better place and no longer suffering, we are heartbroken," wrote his daughter Kerri Kasem on Twitter and Facebook from the family. "The world will miss Casey Kasem, an incredible talent and humanitarian; we will miss our dad."

Rest in peace Mr.Kasem. You deserve it.

I did the Susan B Komen run/walk for cancer down in St. Louis with the missus and her job mates. Afterwards, went supply shopping for her spring roll/fried rice side business, then to a spa for father's day. What did I miss?

I didn't use to be, but being overseas got me spoiled. Next time you're in the PI, hit Manila up and check out Vespa(I think) Spa. It's like a spa, buffet, and bath house. Place is really great for relaxation. For 60 bucks, you get a six hour deal, plus food. Malaysia is even better. You can get a 3 hour massage, mani, pedi for like 35 bucks. Thailand? Cheap as hell, but you have to be specific, since their spa packages comes with "additional" service.

What kind of hot rod did you get? Please don't tell me it's a Corvette, I'll be jelly if you say so!
