MY VISA GOT APPROVED,BUT STATUS IS STILL AP. WHY??

Hi guys,

My interview was on 12June2014. And officer approved my visa. Nothing wrong with my case. However, i checked my case status today on CEAC webiste, it's still under AP. How long does it take to change to ISSUED???

It's nothing to worry about. You can email your consulate. I was approved, the next day checked online and it was under AP. I emailed the consulate and asked if everything was okay. I got a response then almost immediately it was changed from AP to issued.

AP in China and AP in NZ are two very different animals.

for Guangzhou IV - within 1 to 2 weeks.

What's going on? The casefile has to be reviewed still then

the casefile is bundled into the visa packet with another check on documents then

it's lobbed over to the mailroom

then it'll get picked up by CITIC Bank Courier for movement into that CITIC bank location.

When that first review is finished it'll flip to 'ISSUED' status and this is absolutely normal for Guangzhou IV.

so - wait a bit.

and note that on CEAC - that last updated date/time is when a GUZ IV human touched the casefile - it'll give 'local times' for China.

Thanks, Darnell! You're right! Embassy replied case is still under review. And I guess the workers from CEAC never touched our case after interview. It's updated everyday automatically at 8:30. Hope they touched our case ASAP. The waiting is very frustrating although officer approved my visa on the day of my interview.
