f2a waiting for interview. need help

My wife filed the I-130 last September 2013. And got approved at October 2013. We've finished submitted the documents needed in National Visa Center last April 2014. They wrote that I am qualified for the schedule of interview already. It's 2 months now that the schedule of interview is still pending. I am wondering how does it take long for me to have the date for interview?

For MNL normally 1-3 months depending on if you happen to catch the scheduling cutoff date. In your case, unfortunately you have a different issue because the F2A category retrogressed. You have to wait for your priority date to be current for them to be able to schedule an interview. No one knows how long the wait will be.

So meaning I have to wait more years for my interview to be schedule because it retrogessed in F2A category. And

My wife need to submitt again the Affidavifit of support when it comes current? I felt bad about it. I thought onceyou get through in the NVC, it will not affect no more the retrogession.

Hi, they say until you have your visa on hand, you'll be affected by retrogression. Even if the interview is over, not until the visa is issued, there is still a possibility.

I think you won't need to submit AOS again. But if ever, your wife must bring updated civil and aos documents when months have passed..

Just to let you know , you're not alone.

There are still tons of 2013 filers who got stuck just because of that retrogression thingy

Next VBs ( Aug and Sep ) will be the end of fiscal year, just keep waiting and hope for the best.

Me too waiting since Case Completed March 26 and filed in May 2013!
