Yes but it is a red flag and a looks like a possible fraud,

Wife and step child never been to US.

As far as not having close relationship with family and not being able to have a wedding ceremony in VN is very uncommon, I just hope whoever interviews my wife understand that not everyone is the same and under the same situation. I honestly can't stand being 'traditional' Vietnamese and I don't like their close tie family values stuff. So why have wedding in VN when you can't invite anyone you like and accept you for who you are?

My friends and family in the US can accept this support me, which make more sense for me to have my wedding here. And I still want a US military wedding. I can't have that in VN ever.

I hope they don't just dismiss this as fraud right away and look at the whole situation instead of using the wedding photo as "check off" item.

They won't just dismiss it as fraud right off but look at the totality. Just letting you know the red flag we see is all. This consulate sees a lot of fraud.

  • 3 weeks later...

NVC just sent me an email giving me a case number and invoice ID. When I went online to pay the fee with the case number, there is something else call "IV Fee" which is not mentioned in the email and the amount is 0.00$. So do I have to pay it now or eventually?

And is it possible to pay the fee with credit card or they only accept direct bank transaction?
