so my child and fiance are living in peru while i support them here working, im saving up money and will be leaving in three months to wait out the rest of the process with them which will probably be 6 months, i will be leaving my job as im not on any kind of salary, it might be possible for me to get a job down there but if not i will still have enough to live on my question is without a job will this be a problem when it comes time for her interview? i've read that you can have a cosponsor(my father) sign off a i-134 apart as well, but is this something that is going to be a problem? ive already been away from my son whos a year old for 5 months now and will be for another three, and i cant take time off. i have a house down there that is ours and thats where i plan to be living at with them both.

Hello! My immigrant visa process was slightly different, but I am hoping it will still be helpful!

Husband: Peruvian citizen (beneficiary)

Myself: U.S. citizen living in Peru for one year (petitioner)

Visa process: Direct Consular Filing (DCF)

Given that we were doing DCF for an CRI visa, I had to fill out the I-864. I had been unemployed for one year and I was completely honest about that on my form. I listed my current income as $0 and I had my mother fill out her own I-864 as our co-sponsor. There was no problem whatsoever! At the interview, I turned in the two I-864's, along with the required W-2's and tax returns, and my husband and I were not asked anything else about those forms! His visa was approved at the end of the interview :)

I hope this helps! Good luck to you :)
