If someone would be so kind and put our NOA1 date in 09/09 Thanks

NOA one day after you sent it? How did you send it? NOA by email or text?

It's possible! They simply print it out early...like mine according to them was printed on the 8th and I mailed it on the 6th. But then I only got the actual NOA letter in the mail yesterday afternoon. Almost seems like as soon as they scan in our $590 check the computer immediately generates the NOA letter, hence the receipt date on these NOA letters will be super closed to the filing/mailing date. The question is whn a human being will pick up the basket that contains all these NOA envelops that got generated by a computer through by scanning in our checks. If the human being is happy then he or she will mail it the same day and you get it in two days. If they are unhappy, maybe only the next day, or two days later. Hence the receipt date is right after our mailing stuff in, but we do get it like 4 days later. :/ That's my theory...:)

Yup, that is exactly what I was suspecting is going on. They scan our checks, the computer spits out a NOA form, hence the receipt day is either the same day, or the next day depending on the time our stuff arrives and then somebody seals it nicely, throws it in a bin called "for outgoing mail only" and depending on when x and y picks up the "for out going mail only" box and shuffles over to the post office to mail, will we get our NOA. :)

Oh yes we recived our noa1 in the mail today 9/12

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen. I too mailed my application on 9/12 (Vermont). We could've sent it a month ago but I was working 72h/week in august. I couldn't find the time to put the final pieces together therefore we sent it out six weeks before my GC expiration. I hope and pray that it is not too late.

Evidence I've submitted

I-751 form + extra page that that says we've moved from my hubby's house to an apartment and from our apartment back to the house. We support my husband's parents so it was just easier to pay mortgage instead of mortgage and rent.

2 personal checks $505 and $85

2 passport photos

Copy of the front and back of my GC

Copy of our marriage certificate

2012 & 2013 taxes filled jointly

Copy of our health insurance card- both of our names listed

Copy of my husband's life insurance- I'm listed as beneficiary

Copy of our auto car insurance- both names listed

2 Copies of our driver's licenses showing the same addresses (apt + house)

Apartment lease

Electric bills - both names listed (apt)

Copy of my hubby's house title (he bought it before we got married)

1 electric bill - both names listed (house)

1 water bill - both names listed (house)

Cable bill - only my hubby listed (house)

Quarterly statements from joint checking accounts since 2012 (from 2 banks)

Copies of our debit cards from both of our accounts

3 void checks from 2 different bank accounts but both showing change in address

Copy of some of our doctor's visits together dental, vision and station care

2 notarized sworn affidavits (mother in law and sis in law)

Copy of the essay I wrote about my husband that got awarded and published.

And $#itload of pictures. I printed them on a regular paper but in color, 2 pictures on each page. I think I sent maybe 50 pics but I figured we don't have a lot of evidence so the pictures might save our butts.

HI Goodava, that's a good list of documents you prepared. I didn't send passport photos or marriage certificate, one personal check instead of two, and i sent about 20 photos only. I'm curious what kind of essay you wrote and where it was published, very interesting!

Well, hello there Athena. 20 pictures is more than enough. I completely went overboard by sending so many pictures but I just couldn't resist it. I don't think the marriage certificate is neccessary since they have a copy of it. However, my hubby's friend who prepares the forms for a living "insisted" that we include it. I just sent it so I don't hear him saying anything later. The essay was published in the spring of 2014 in the book that my University publishes every year. It's a pretty private piece but it also shows just how much we love each other. Something that was published under my name and with my hubby's picture underneath it is a valuable evidence (I think).

Also I' just noticed that I got married a month before you did and received my GC around the same time (October 1st). That's pretty cool.

Good luck with your forms!!!
