Hi guys. Do I understand correct that I should use Vermont address to file from Germany (here on military orders)? I am filing on September 18

Also another question... so much confusion having different country's address...

how to put my physical address in I-751 Part I.16 if it is german? we have relatives stateside, maybe better to put their address in there? I don't know.... Same with Part III.6 Our physical german address or mailing USA APO Box address should go here?

I would appreciate your help. Getting nervous here :)

I have a question. I hope I can word it clearly.

We are trying to gather as much evidence as possible.

We have Western Union receipts of family members sending money to my husband before and after he was granted the GC as a way to help us through tough financial times. Should we had this as evidence to show financial support from his side? There is a 1 year wait before GC was granted, During that year he didn't work because we didn't apply for the work permit. After the GC was granted he went to school and has worked.

Just trying to cover all the basis. Back when we applied for Adjustment of Status, the agent asked for the receipts when he was in college but then she just granted the GC and we never submitted the Western Union receipts from that period.

Thanks!!

I would think Part I.16 is for US addresses and if you have different address you would add a sheet with other addresses. Perhaps you might want to contact the mail office in Germany and ask how they would do Germany addresses using the US mail order format. This is a tricky one.

Hey peeps,

So we'll be mailing the stuff in about three days, but so far we have not found an envelope that fits our ####### in. Our stuff is like 2 inches thick. What do you guys send it in? Anyone with similarly high amount of stuff and found a good way to send it? We're searching still for envelopes, but nothing fits it yet...:/ Thanks!

Hey Athena,

No, it's not too late yet. You can file anytime basically before your GC expires, but not earlier than 90 days before your it expires. And yes, the back is necessary too. They specifically ask in the instruction to have both front and back. Let us know when you file, and to which service centers and will add you right on the list! :)

All the best!:)

My husband's GC expires on Dec. 21st, 2014. We will be filing September 22nd, 2014 at the CSC.

Here is what we are including:

-Money Order for $590 to Department of Homeland Security

-Signed and Dated Form I-751

-Copy of Permanent Resident Card (front and back)

-Copy of Marriage Certificate

-Copy of both U.S. citizen and resident driver's licenses (showing same address)

-Car Insurance Policy with both names on it

-401K Plans (both U.S. Citizen and Resident's showing spouse as 100% beneficiary)

-Joint Checking Account History (bank statements)

-Change of my last name to Permanent Resident spouse's last name (evidence: bank account)

-Marriage Certificate from Church Wedding (June 20th, 2014) - we were married by court first, but were finally able to celebrate our marriage in the church

-Pictures from wedding (with our son too)

-Documents from Travel Together (honeymoon)

-Affidavit of Support (from permanent resident's father-in-law) - also stating that we are living with my parents while we save money for a house.

-Affidavit of Support (friend of U.S. citizen - attended our church wedding and knew of our relationship beforehand)

-Phone records between Permanent Resident and spouse

Am I missing anything or are there any suggestions of other things that I could add?

Hi Everyone!

It's been awhile since I have last been on here and I forgot how addicting it is to read through all the forums! My husband's conditional GC expires on the 26th of September so we are actually cutting it pretty close since we just submitted today :-\ I am not sure if I am doing this correctly but I would like to be added to the list.

We are filing to the CA Service Center. I rushed to put together the packet so here is what we included:

1 - Cover Letter

2 - Check for $590

3 - i-751 + Address History

4 - Picture of his GC, Work Visa, Passport, and Driver Licenses

5 - Evidence: 2012 & 2013 Taxes, 2013 & 2014 Lease Agreements, Joint Bank Statements, Joint Car Title, 2013 & 2014 Trips and supporting pictures. I didn't put in any beneficiary information since I couldn't figure out how to get it off my work portal (and to be honest I was relatively rushed and just put it together this morning) but now I'm regretting it!

After reading here, I also forgot to put 'Attention: Removing Conditions i-751' on the address label. Is that a crucial step that I missed?

Your insight into this is greatly appreciated! Good luck!

Natalie

It does sound stupid but i just did it yesterday myself, and I had just as hard time as you are having. :) So you go to the top right to your profile and view your profile. Once you are in there, at the left side there's a part called "Signature" and you do it then. I just was trying to figure that out yesterday and finally succeeded...so even if it may sound stupid, you're not alone. ;) Good luck!
