Cambodian Applicants: When do they typically issue the visa?

Hi all!

My fiance and I are so, so excited to finally have our interview date!!! October 6th!!! We've waited so long for this news and we couldn't have done it without the incredible support of the VJ community. Thanks for everything, everyone!!!

Now we are letting ourselves dream a little about what it might be like if we get approved. :) We have one big question though, and cannot seem to find a consistent answer.

When do they issue the visa if the case is approved. We have heard they issue it the next day and we have heard they issue it the following Friday. We've also heard it cane sometimes take weeks.

Any ideas? Thank you all again!!

K-1 Journey:

Petition sent: 03/27/2014

Interview date!!! 10/06/2014

AOS:

Packet received at Chicago Lockbox: 2/2/2015

EAD approved! 2/26/2015

AP approved! 2/26/2015

Green card received!! 09/24/2015

ROC: 

I-751 sent off to CSC: 7/25/2017

NOA1: 7/27/2017

Filed Inquiry into Biometrics status: 9/18/2017

10 Year Green Card Approved!!! 10/22/2018

 

Next Stop, Citizenship!

Visa issued same day? No ball.gif If not whats the waiting period? Visa collection is on the following Friday at 11am.

Is that date correct October 6th? WOW that is so far away. But congratulations. Don't get medical until like september

My brother had his interview on Thurs. 10/24 and was told to pick up his visa the following Fri at 11am. He said he they gave him an orientation first before they hand him the yellow packet. Also, it was not just him but many more people who pass their interview. It was a group thing. He fly out of Cambodia to USA the next morning.
