Me and my honey has now got married, and we are about to file for the AOS.

For this, I am supposed to include a vaccination supplement; but I do not have to get a full medical exam. because I got it for my k1 visa within the past year in Sweden before I got here.

I got some copies from my doctor (civil surgeon) in Sweden, including the vaccination supplement she gave me in February -06.

So, because of our confusion, we are now asking;

Do I need to go to a doctor here in OK USA to get a vaccination supplement? Or is it enough to have a copy of the vaccination supplement I got from the civil surgeon in Sweden?

You need to take the one you got from Sweden to a civil surgeon here in the USA and he/she will transfer it onto form I693A which is how USCIS wants the form from you.

Just a suggestion, do some price comparisons before you pay...we called around and finally found someone who would do it for $35usd. A lot of the wanted ridiculous amounts to fill out the form.It's terrible how they rip people off :( goodluck

Luckily for us we got it for free but I think because the civil surgeon had only done a couple before and didn't even know how to pay. Once they said free we left very fast with our I693A before they could change their minds!

thats great for you guys!

We are thinking about doing it in OKC - does any of you know some good civil surgeon there? Someone to recommend?

Because we live a couple of hours away from OKC, we were thinking to try to get an appontment the day before we are about to file the papers in the homeland security office in OKC - and therefor go to the doctor one day, and then spend a night in some motel or hotel; and then go filing the papers the day after.... A good idea?

I know nothing about the civil surgeons in other places so I can't help you there really. You could always call them beforehand to get prices though. I didn't know you could file AOS papers physically somewhere other than the Chicago lockbox....

Yeah, in OK you have to file them physically - and have the interview at the same time... I think the same way is in TX.

Must be nice....*sigh* :(
