Hey Guys,

I feel with the recent news about the CSPA law changes, many are confused and worried (that included me, until I did much research and understood what it meant). Can we please, for those with the info and for those with the experience, phrase a good understandable sentence as to what does the CSPA apply to now and what not?

It would be good (would help myself as well) if we could list the procedures needed to benefit from CSPA from derivative beneficiaries? Do we need to do anything before priority date becomes current, or after? Call NVC, send any emails?

Thank You all in advance.

Hopefully this will help me, and all others who are worried!

Regards,

Meriton

Nothing has changed about CSPA interpretation by the US Government.

The people suing the government lost.

The US Government's interpretation and practices were allowed to continue.

No need to redo everything. Go and use the search button.

Ok, fair enough then.

Can you answer my last question please!? -- I'm a derivative beneficiary from my mother on the F4 category. Do I need to do anything before our Priority Date becomes current?

Thanks In advance!

Just turned 21 last month. Case was pending at USCIS for 5 years 1 month. Priority Date is Sept 2004. So I have another 5 years. I believe the priority date will be current by then.
