Hi everyone!

My apologies if there's already an existing thread similar to this.

We're from the Philippines and my family is planning a vacation to the States later this year. My brother and I already have our B1/B2 visas so it's just our parents to apply this time.

Our parents are retired business people. The business is now transferred under my brother's name. Also, my Dad had long decided that all the properties (houses, cars, bank accounts) be under my Mom's name.

Having said this, my question is, how can my Dad show proof of ties to the Philippines if all documents one usually submit are under my Mom"s name? We've learned that they will have to schedule separate interviews, so can my Dad still bring with him those documents even though it's our Mom's name that's written in them?

Our parents have been to Japan for tourism twice. Can this info be of any help in their application?

Any constructive comments, and useful tips and advices are highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Regards,

If he has absolutely nothing that can be shown in his own name then a denial is a distinct possibility.

He has what he has.

Unusual for them to be looked at.

Do you have any family in the US?

Hi!

No, we don't have any family or relative in the US. Although, we will be staying at my parents' friends, an American family, during our 2-week vacation. Truth be told, we just want to experience autumn in the States. We've experienced winter in Japan already and it was quite a sight so we're inspired to tour the States this autumn.

I thought the land titles of my parents are all in my Mom's name but we checked and both of my Dad's and Mom's names are written there. And I stand corrected when I said all the bank accounts are in my Mom's name too. I hope these documents can help my Dad out in proving his ties to the Philippines.

I'd be truly grateful for any useful thoughts and advices you can share. I also hope that somebody on this site with the same situation as ours share his/her experience.

Thanks again!
