Hi all,

I have the interview on consulate here in brazil to my daughter on 24 jun , her status is follow to join

I never was married to her mother, just lived together.

Is it a red flag?

No.

Thank you Aaron2020,

Did you pass through the same issue?

Also, for your child to be eligible for following-to-join benefits, he or she must:

ball.gif Be unmarried and

ball.gif Be under 21 years of age and

ball.gif Have been a child from a marriage of yours (the marriage must have existed at the time of your admission to the U.S.) or

ball.gif Have been a stepchild from a marriage of yours (the marriage must have existed at the time of your admission to the U.S.) or

ball.gif Have been legally adopted prior to your admission to the U.S., and otherwise qualify as an adopted child under the immigration law.

I did not married, and it says "Have been a child from a marriage of yours (the marriage must have existed at the time of your admission to the U.S.)"

Don't worry, it won't be a red flag. What matters in your F1 petition was you maintained your UNMARRIED status all throughout until your POE.

Thank you Apple.

june 27 will be her interview,

Hi Apple.

Do you know how???

I talked to a congressman.

After that in one week they solved the problem.

I got answer from consulate.
