Haven't received noa1

Hi,

I mailed my I-130 package to the Chicago lockbox on May, 29 2014. I see that it was delivered on Monday June 02, 2014 with online tracking. It's been 14 days since the received date and I still haven't heard back anything. I did attach a completed form for the e notification but have not got a text or email. I wasn't so concerned until I started doing some research n see that people were getting their noa1 in a few days or a week the most.

What should I do? I'm starting to get worried.

did you see if your check was cashed your bank statements check your status.if it was cashed don't worry you should receive something next week should get a tex or E.mail fist then noa-1 notice of acution 797c receipt hard copy.if you don't get any thing next week call the customer service number 1-800-375-5283

I sent a money order instead of check, not sure if I can check up on that

How can I check case status online?

Also, I did certified mail with return receipt. I did receive the return receipt with Chicago lockbox stamp few days after the online tracking shows that it was delivered.

Mrs tams, I see for your timeline that you mailed your I 130 after me, and you received noa1 email in 4 days and the hard copy in 8 days after it was delivered. Shouldn't I be concerned that I still haven't received anything after 2 weeks of mailing my package??

Someone please let me know if this is normal. Has it taken this long for anybody else?

I want to know if I should take action or not, and what action to take.

I would be a bit concerned as well but would wait one more week (until Friday,14th June).

Maybe it's a post office issue? What about your junk/spam folders? Have you checked those for the e-notification? ~~~

why not call the customer service number that was given to you earlier?

hopefully you still have the stub from the money order? if so, yes you can track it and see whether it was cashed.

They suggest you contact them after 30 days if your package is delivered but still NOA1. Of course it's early yet, but you can call them and see what's up 1-800-375-5283. ~~~

So I called them today to inquire about the issue. After being on hold for over 2hrs the person I spoke to said they didn't see a case with the names I provided and they couldn't help me any further without a receipt number. I told them that I got a return receipt with their stamp on it and he said that doesn't mean anything to them.

After a visit to the bank and finding out that the money order was never cashed, I called them back to let them know and to find out how to proceed from there, and they lady checked again for the names and said she couldn't find anything and that there was nothing else she could do.

I am really concerned now!

When did this happen? I thought you didn't receive anything? If the money order was never cashed, they never received it.

Don't worry !

Just give yourself little more time. My husband sent I 130 on July 2013. USCIS cashed our check a month after and we got our NOA1 on Oct 2,2013 about two months after my husband sent this petition. So, Just calm down and wait.

Just as I was about to head to the bank to cancel the money order and redo one to re submit my I 130 package, I received the most anticipated email ever!

Finally got my noa2, 3 weeks after mailing in my application. Can't explain how relieved I am.
