No, England are out.

How is it that England is out? They can still get 3 points, which theoretically allows for the possibility of a tie points wise with Italy or Uruguay. What am I missing on the tie breakers? What is the first tiebreaker, and then the others in order?

They're out, because Costa Rica are already through and Italy play Uruguay. So one, or both of those two will end up with more points than England. We're out.

Yeah most MLB teams have their city name present on the uniform when playing away.

I just think that in baseball, football, basketball and hockey it is easier for a new viewer to figure out who is who by the uniforms. I'm sure there are cases where it is somewhat confusing like the one you pointed out. And the home uniforms have the club name, not the city or state.

There is no easy to see id on the World Cup jerseys.

I don't know if I'll ever understand the fouls in soccer. I still don't understand the offsides calls and I also don't understand why the physical contact is ok in some games and not others. It seem like the European and African teams really lean on each other and nobody complains. I also see in the Central/South American teams there is a lot of crying if somebody breathes on you. I thought the rules were the same for everyone? From my n00b observations, there is more stoppage of play in the Central/South games than there is in the European and African games. Less acting in Europe and Africa too. I have no preconceived notions, this is just the way I have been seeing it. Maybe I've got it all wrong?

I sometimes go to watch baseball games here in Japan. I have no interest in the game but enjoy the crowd atmosphere, drinking beer outside and checking out athletic bodies!!

They had the game one. They had the ball deep on Portugal's side of the field. And not one American player anywhere near the goal to pass the ball too. It looked like only three Americans over midfield, the rest hanging back to play defensively. It cost them the game.
