Anybody from jamaica can tell me the time estimation from sending iv package to receiving appointment date.....anticipation killing me!!!

Takes 20 to 30 days to review and accept IV package same for AOS. Case Complete than Jamaica is pretty fast depending on when you get case complete and if its scheduling time. But usually not more than a month.

Here is the Interview spreadsheet take a look come on over when you get case Complete.

Hi Dwheels76 . i checked out the interview spreadsheet and I'm seeing where for jamaica, most people after case complete at nvc gets interview within a day or few.

my question is, my case have been completed from 5/3 this month, and no interview date as yet, and I'm seeing where other cases for jamaica got completed after my case and already have assigned interview dates. is there a possibility there is something wrong? or do they just randomly select cases?

Oh I see why. You are EB1. Totally different category. You can't compare your category with immediate relative category. We don;t have to wait for Visa number or anything you do.

From the Visa Bullentin

"The DOS anticipates that the EB1 category will remain current for all of FY14, regardless of country of changeability. It is important to understand that unused visa numbers in the EB4 and EB5 categories are made available to the EB1 category. Unused EB1 numbers, in turn, are shifted down to meet excess demand in EB2. Usage in this category thus impacts EB2."

So its all about your country and the number of EB1's they have left. At least your PD is current. Have you called NVC to see what is going on. Like i said you can not go by this list we are immediate relative and no waiting (accept the F2A's that are on here).

Thanks For this update. yes i spoke to someone at NVC via Phone 2 days ago, she said my case was complete (i got the email on the 3rd of this month) and said that she was not sure if the july interview dates were closed for kingston but she thinks they are still doing some for july.

i don't mind waiting until august if thats the case, but just wish i had some form of solid timeframe as i have a bunch of business situations that i need to know what to do with.

:) thanks again for ur prompt response

EB1 category I have no idea how many slots a embassy would have or when they do it. It's not on the same time line as a IR1 or CR1 or a K1. Maybe even email the embassy and ask them.

Sorry if I came across stern on the June 2013 post (I did LOL) but I guess it came across harsh and that was not my intention.
