So sorry for the long wait. Although we were blessed to wait just only 2 months for my interview, and in just 8 days I had my visa on hand. Some applicants now can't get an interview date, no dates are opening up for an interview. Relax, patience.... and even more patience and it will all be worth it.

I know waiting is agonizing @_@

Waiting on Cairo Embassy is torture especially when you see how fast Phillipines interviews are schedule. BLAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Thank you

Yes. Working with the Cairo Embassy is a nightmare. They are good at what they do, but they are overworked and understaffed from what I can tell. Waiting for our interview was hell. There's now way around it. My fiance has been here about 10 days now and we called his family on Skype for the first time yesterday. (Of course we stay in touch other ways every day!) When we heard the sound of Skype trying to connect the call, we both looked at each other in horror. That sound is absolutely traumatizing now. Good luck to you because this process is just torture. You'll survive and you'll forget how bad it was, but that doesn't make it easier right now! :crying:

I am thinking everything went well for you because you are female. I read your interview review. I have heard the men are the ones who have issues at the interviews sometimes.

YES! One of the really hard things about long-distance relationships is that you want to be together on Skype, which means you have to be TOTALLY INACTIVE in order to be together. You can't go out together or play together or anything else. You're forced into total physical inactivity to be with the person you love. That's SUPER HARD!

Ha. This reminds me of a period of time where I was LD from Y-- it was weird though, because I was in Morocco in his hometown, and he was in Italy! The cheapest way to call by far was to use an orange Maroc Telecom pay phone-- so I'd have to leave the house and walk two blocks (through the Oudaya-- spectacular view!) to call him and talk. :)

Hi :) Just another suggestion for easier communication while you are not at home........my fiancé and I use the app Viber on our smartphones, in fact, almost everyone in the middle east we know uses it too! It's totally

FREE calling and instant messaging just like Skype, but on your cell phone. We use it daily while we are at work or wherever, sending IMs and calling, and then we use Skype at home. It's really a lifesaver for not having to wait until we are at home to Skype. The only inconvenience is that, at least in the villages like my fiancé's in Qalubiya, sometimes the Viber connection is delayed or intermittent for a couple of hours at a time because of the frequent power outages and internet interruptions they have to deal with.

Best wishes to both of you for a fast approval :star::thumbs:

Thank you very much but that's the whole point. I can't get anything done because he wants every free minute I have lolol His phone is so ancient and can't use all those free phone apps which is fine. He doesn't do much except go to work. I am going to check out your timeline :D

YES the inactivity is KILLING ME. I cannot wait to go for walks with him and get OUT UGH lol

Why don't y'all just use that free Magic Jack app? You can talk all of the time and it goes where you go.

My point is that I need more free time to get things done and he wants ALL my free time lol
