Mark Golding announced today that 2 ozs of ganza or less

will be legal for consumption in any ways, smoking, drinking

or rubbing for ppl ages 18 and over in Jamaica. The Parliament

and medical ppl recognizes any smoking can be bad for the health

to include lungs an mental issues..however for some it can be medicinal

and for the Rastafarian religion, ceremonial

Non smoking areas are off limits as with any tobacco use in

non smoking areas of the country, running afoul of this law

will result in a ticket which will hurt the pocket.

Ppl will no longer be finger-printed or get an arrest record for

for just that amount of weed as this result in making them unemployable

and being denied travel benefits because of a spliff. :bonk:

Those who are doing mths for ONLY this will be released & record expunged

those having a record in JA for a spiff/joint ONLY will have it expunged & should

seek to do say.

Mark Golding is the MP in charged of Security & Justice along with Bunting

date for this new law will be announced by next week after cabinet signs.off on it

the meantime , one will continue to be have to abide by current laws ..don't get

caught with marijuana

*Over this amounts the law will remain with ppl getting arrested & convicted
