I-765 Help Needed!!!

Good afternoon everyone,

I am currently in a tricky situation.

I did get an employment authorization while I was attending university. I served as a lab assistant at school and EAD was properly issued at that time.

Now I met my hubby (US Citizen) and I would like to apply for I-765, BUT!!:

1. I do not have a EAD card to provide them copies.

2. I do have an notification mail that was sent to me along with the EAD card. Would this be a good proof of my EAD? The actual instruction says to put front and back copies of the actual card.

3. Very first question i-765 asks is "I am applying for: 1. Permission to accept employment., 2. Replacement (of lost employment authorization document), 3. Renewal of my permission to accept employment (attach previous employment authorization document" which in my case is all of them. I am leaning toward 1st answer for this but any visa expert with solution to my case?

I am still a F-1 Visa Status. I have recently graduated from u.s university and currently taking courses for GRE.

We have all the necessary documents for filing our i-130, i-485, i-765, and i-864 and I wanted to double check this posted inquiry with you experts!!

You would be applying for the first option, "Permission to accept employment", because this would be under a new category (C-9). If you no longer have the EAD in your possession then you can't give them copies of it. It will probably not be a problem.
