Hurry up and wait? CEAC status update?

im applying for IR-1 visa, my passport was mailed out in the end of May, the consulate got my passport on June 4, CEAC's status has been in AP since then, but it was updated first on June 5, then June 12, and then the last one was today, June 13, but it's still in Administrative processing, i haven't recieved any emails from the consulate, i'm pretty sure they have everything they need from me...does it usually take this long to get the visa issued?

i know! thank you for your support! we are so excited, now when should i book my ticket? you said something about it will take them another 2 or 3 weeks to mail it back to me?

well - it's friday there in china - sometimes the staff works over the weekend - but

yer visa packet has to be generated and reviewed then sent on to the mail room and the CITIC courier has to pick it up.

and there's a queue.

2 weeks seems minimal, IMO. could be sooner, if the queues are sparse.

oh wow, 2 weeks min? i guess i'll be booking my ticket once i receive my passport lol.. at least the visa's finally issued and printed! we are almost done, its been a very very long and difficult journey. thanks again for your help!

oh i actually was going to do the timeline but then i realized that all my paperwork was handled by my lawyer, so i really dont know the time and dates of all those events, except for when i got approved. :(
