I received an email and at first I couldn't believe it lol. Will update you guys when it comes in the hard copy. Speaking of, anyone know how long that might take? I would love if it gets here before the 24th haha

Thank you :)

Thanks so much!

So, if you get a chance, can you get your status online? I'm wondering if they are really up to date with changing your online status at the same time they send out your email notification.

I hear that even when you go beyond normal processing times that this is no reason for expedited case. REALLY!?!?!? They send you a letter saying: We're working on it. Even when these people don't do their jobs they have no shame in their game to expedite or pull your file. Going on 2 week Christmas holiday in Florida and if no action it's to the Congressman's office as soon as it goes over normal processing time. Since they just moved it up on Dec. 11th it no doubt will take them 2 months to move that up 1 month. It is what it is, and all one can do is keep pounding and praying.

I contacted my Congressman's office already and called them back today to check up on it. They just said they haven't heard back about it yet but would call me and let me know. I was just like yeah okay that's what everyone else keeps saying too. But it defo sounds like TSC to not get back to Congressman either. Unless the problem is my Congressman. You should defo try calling sooner rather than later though. Have a nice vacation

Went back to the USCIS local field office and the same lady pulled up the screen in front of me. Says ready for shipping once again and she said that they usually ship them out in batches at the end of each week. Keeping my fingers crossed! I was able to also get thru to a tier 2 officer on the 1800 number and they are now open to putting in service requests on our cases because its past the 5 month mark now!

here is the message that now shows up in my case history when I log in.

As of December 17, 2014, your general inquiry, referral number ETC351140****TSC, is currently not assigned for processing.

And I called my senators office to light a fire under their a**. so lets see! Keeping fingers crossed for everyone here!

I got approved last Friday and most likely thanks to one lady who works for Congressman in Oklahoma. She called my fiance yesterday and spoke with him. She offered us some help with NVC stage as well. So it may depends on Congressmen how much they want to be involved in your case.

This is the truth! The person from my fiance's Congressman's office who was assigned to deal with these matters was about as useful as the center of a ring donut.

The NVC stage goes very fast! My case is already at the embassy, all of this happened within two weeks from my NOA2. The NVC had my case within days and sent it out just as promptly. Check my timeline for those wondering about the timeframe after the NOA2.

Congrats to the new approvals!

The total amount of days from the date I mailed in our K1 Visa application to the day my fiancé stepped foot into the USA:

1 year, 3 months and 8 days.

The amount of days from the date we mailed in our AOS to the date everything was approved (after 3 RFEs):

7 months & 5 days

Which makes our journey a total of:

2 years, 3 months, and 8 days

(L)"I remember the days I prayed for everything I have now." (L)

I have a stupid question, the NVC is still in the US right? So why the need for our docs to go from TSC to NVC, what happens at the NVC stage? Or is it just for the sole purpose of getting all those new numbers assigned?

Congrats to the new approvals!

Well, I just tried to anticipate things and just called tuesday (15th), the guy told me my case was not yet (it was sent on the 10th)... I guess I got lucky because I got to talk to them on my second attempt... When was your case sent since I can have an idea of how long it really takes to get there!! :)

The approved cases are sent to the NVC or DOS (which essentially are the same thing, at least that was my understanding) to be assigned a case number and then they are dispatched to the appropriate embassy :)

Lol fair point! Thanks for responding guys :)

So I know I am thinking a bit ahead but I know the medical is part of it and I'm thinking if he is missing any vaccines that are mandatory, he can get them at his doctor rather than have to deal with the price here when we do his AOS. So I checked the consulate list for vaccines and are they ALL required??? It's a mighty long list

  • Hepatitis A
  • Hepatitis B
  • Influenza
  • Influenza type b (Hib)
  • Measles
  • Meningococcal
  • Mumps
  • Pneumococcal
  • Pertussis
  • Polio
  • Rotavirus
  • Rubella
  • Tetanus and diphtheria toxoids
  • Varicella
