Hi everyone!

we received our NOA1 on June 19 and our NOA2 last night at 8:20pm - 166 days.

Yesterday at 3:15pm, I sent a VERY polite email to the TSC, to inquire about our case. I don't know if this had anything at all to do with it, but we received our NOA2 same day.

Worth a shot, maybe? The e-mail address is tsc.ncscfollowup@dhs.gov

I'm rooting for everyone to have approval gifts this holiday! Cheers x

We just got an RFE im guessing it's for the pictures.

I'm glad that they at least did something.

It says we will receive the RFE before january second..

Anyone know how long it will usally take?

you mean how long it will take to receive the hard copy in the mail? depending on your state, I would say about a week. I'm in NY and got our hard copy in 6 days.

As for when the approval will be after they receive it? Siiiiigh, I wish I had an answer for that one :(

In other news, CSC is upset about the time it take for them to process through NVC. TSC process through relatively quickly. Looks like the odds are in are favor at NVC . . .

I sure do! Please note I did get an automated response right after, asking me to send information regarding the date and time I called. I didn't send it.

Hi there!

I am unable to check the status of my petition online now, for a month. It was recommended to me that I email for a follow up.
When I enter my Case Number it states:
Validation Error(s)

You must correct the following error(s) before proceeding:

  • At this time USCIS cannot provide you with information for your case. Please contact the NCSC 1 (800) 375-5283 for additional information.
When I log in and click the SRC number the page is blank. I am close to approaching the 6 month mark from my NOA1.
I would like to know what the current status is for SRC1490308575, and when I will hear back on my petition.
I understand that this is a busy time and I thank you so much for all the work you do!

I've been getting the error online for over a month now and for the first time when I call to check on the status of the case instead of hearing that the last change my status was on June 16th when the alien registration number changed, I'm now hearing something along the lines of "status for this receipt number cannot be provided at this time". I'm hoping this is good news and means they are working on my case but I just wanted to see if anyone else is or has experienced this.

I'm not able to see anything online and I stopped calling a couple of weeks ago because I got the same response every.single.time.

Question though... how can you see something about an alien number? I keep seeing people on here talking about it but I have heard/seen nothing about that. But then again, I could be staring right at it :)

I sure do! Please note I did get an automated response right after, asking me to send information regarding the date and time I called. I didn't send it.

Thank you so much! I just sent an email. Maybe we will see results. My NOA1 date is June 25 so I'm not surprised that I have not received anything yet, but getting one earlier than expected would be GREAT! I'm going to include their response to my email in my letter to my congressmen and senators!

Thank you so much for sharing this!

I was also unable to see my status online for a month and yesterday called them and a few hours later at 9:20 PM EST I received the NOA2 email. Not sure if that was related or coincidence, however, now I am able to access the site and see my approval.

Call or email or both, make some noise!

The total amount of days from the date I mailed in our K1 Visa application to the day my fiancé stepped foot into the USA:

1 year, 3 months and 8 days.

The amount of days from the date we mailed in our AOS to the date everything was approved (after 3 RFEs):

7 months & 5 days

Which makes our journey a total of:

2 years, 3 months, and 8 days

Answer to the errors received by the website:

As with many of you I've been bothered by this issue since its been a while it has gone without fix so i decided to do a little bit of research. I have scripted yet another program go auto generate thousands of SRCs and hit them up against the website to see from March to September 2014 files (aprox).

Here are my findings:

Between all of the thousands of receipt numbers there is not one that corresponds to a NOA1 response.

there are hundreds of 129f applications with Statuses such as RFE, Withdrawals, Denials, NVC Processing etc.

Other application types such as I-130, I-485, I-765 do have all applicable case statuses INCLUDING initial accpeptance (NOA1)

Here is what i think happened:

when the new website was set up a new database was created (there is a immigration system database and a USCIS website database) . The original SQL Join to copy the database was not done properly, so the attribute data that correlates to the NOA 1 was not copied to the new database. That is why we are getting errors.

This is furthered explained by people when they get approved, the system goes back and updates the entire record including the NOA1 attribute.

This is a common mistake by an ETL/Web Developer and happens all the time, It is also easy to fix by adjusting the code. They just have not done it yet. The problem simply goes away when the application is approved, RFEd or any other update is done (i saw where address updates will refresh the record data to match the system).

Hopefully this will put to rest all the speculation about what happens when you look at your case status.

Hey guys I wrote the texas service center and got a result.... This was the reply..... So this time i called the national hotline and received a SRMT inquiry number. Now in 2 weeks I have some ammunition to address the texas service center directly with. Good luck use that earlier mentioned e mail address.

Thank you for contacting the Texas Service Center (TSC) National Customer Service Center (NCSC) Follow Up e-mail account. The purpose of this account is to assist petitioners, applicants or their authorized representatives who have contacted the NCSC number (1-800-375-5283) with an inquiry and have not received a response within 15 days. This auto reply message will serve as a record of our receiving your inquiry. However, please note that you will not receive a response to your inquiry if you did not first contact the NCSC number (1-800-375-5283) or if you are not the petitioner, applicant or a designated representative of the case you are inquiring about.

If you are requesting a status update you must contact the NCSC. We will not respond to status update inquiries.

In order to assist you in a timely manner, please include the following information with your inquiry (send a follow-up email including this information if it was not included in your first request to this e-mailbox):

· The service request management tool (SRMT) inquiry number that you were given when you called the NCSC; if you have called the NCSC and they informed you they are unable to complete a SRMT please provide a brief explanation.

· The date that you contacted the NCSC;

· Your name and receipt number and/or A-number; and

· If available, the name of the NCSC Customer Service Representative you spoke with.

The TSC will review your e-mail and respond through this e-mail account or through the US Postal Service.

If you feel the decision on your case was made in error, to protect your rights you must follow the regulations and file any necessary motion or appeal within the allotted timeframe.

Hahaha! I was breastfeeding my son and decided to multitask and check my email, pretty sure I startled him as I nearly jumped out of the bed with excitement. Called my fiancé at 5AM and he answered thinking something was wrong but was happy to know it was good news! I took your advice and created a new account yesterday as well, between that and my phone call To USCIS I don't know what worked but glad something happened!
