It's part of the USVI. St.Thomas st. Croix and St. John. US territories. You may be confusing them with the British VI. But trust me. You will love it there. And go to the Marriott on st Thomas. You will love the food. And cruzan rum is their rum over there. Like 6.00 for a 750 mL bottle. And they have this place called save a lot or something like it. It looks like a Home Depot but full of alcohol. Paradise. And check out coki beach ... Ask for bomba and Wes. They will take care of you.

Absolutely. But put it this way, visit the mainland first. There are so many places to visit here that your fiancée will appreciate, then once things are progressing with the AOS, and eventually GC and permanent status till citizenship, you can visit the world practically. You have the rest of your lives practically to adventure and see the world. It will happen. Just get your fiancée here first. The rest will come to fruition

This too shall pass. Yes. They are working on all of ours. I just received an RFE on Tuesday. I am expecting the information to arrive within a couple days. Hopefully today but Monday or Tuesday or whenever is fine. I am just grateful that they are indeed working on our petition and trust me they are working on others petitions as well. We have all waiting 6 months or so and the next steps for all of us are going to be exciting. This will tell us more or less how long it will be to get moving and finally be reunited with our fiancées. These are happy times. Lord knows I was not expecting anything until after the new year and then boom. Out of the blue comes this RFE. Disappointing, yet exciting. My fiancée doesn't believe it will ever happen. I'm not even telling her. I'm just going to get whatever information I need and surprise her once we get our approval. Sucks that I just started a new job so I won't be able to go down for her interview but it is what it is. Glad that it isn't required that I go down there. I'm actually saving up to have her clothes shipped from there to here and I told her months ago that once we have our approval from the consulate to ship over all bit two weeks with of her belongings. Once the visa is in hand I will be purchasing her flight and then she will be here. Happy times are among us and they too shall be among us all. Be blessed, but more importantly , be patient. Remember, the main point of going through the process is to have your heart with you here so with that being said, be grateful you aren't just filing for him/ her now. This is our time. It's just a matter of when now.

ISL

NONONONONO!!!

The Dominican Interview will REQUIRE you to be there. DO NOT let her go by herself! I personally know 2 guys who have done this process and both told me how people were bring instantly turned down at the window because they didn't have their petitioner with them.

In both cases, the beneficiary wasn't even asked questions, they asked the petitioner stuff like, where did you first meet, where did you stay and other similar questions.

Dominican Petitioners - DO NOT SKIP THE INTERVIEW IN PERSON!

Day 175: Called in to check my status.. Told they can't check but my application is still there. Website still down and useless. Fiancee is getting very upset and anxious. I just keep holding on. If this was a business these people would have been long gone, long ago. It's the feeling of helplessness that's killing us. If there was something we could do we would be doing it, but there isn't and the only thing to do is accept.

June Filers,

I had opened a request for my file about 2 months ago. I recently got a reply:

Currently, we have reviewed the status of your case and found that it remains under active examination. This office acknowledges the completion of your case being outside of the normal processing time and realizes the inconvenience it may cause. The delay has been necessary in order to ensure thorough processing of your case and provide you with the best possible service. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide you with a definitive timeframe at this point. USCIS will notify you if any further information is needed from you or when a decision has been made.

Thank you,

XM1329/Immigration Services Officer/USCIS - Texas Service Center

They are so nice to care about my inconveniences... :P

I would say that was a quite eloquent way of telling you to eff off Josh. LOL. The delay is necessary to give you better quality!?!? LMFAO!! I call BS!! We all see expedited cases that get done quickly... Heck I've even seen a 4 day noa1 to noa2. It really gets under your skin when not only are you lied to, but they insult your intelligence with it!

OOOHHH I wish you'd unleash an unholy hell at your congressman's office in person for this BS response! How in the world is the delay giving you better service?! Unless they know something you don't know, they need to come up with a better answer than that!

I do not want to add any negativity here and please do not get me wrong but honestly I don't think we will see many June approvals here in December. It's a holiday season and that's what is on their/ours mind. From my last year experience in DC we did our job to minimum in the whole December. We kept our self busy with planning company's Christmas party, secret Santa, searching for gifts online and goofing around in the office. I presume it will be no different in TSC. Just saying!!!

If I can recall correctly, last year around this time they were blasting through petitions before the holiday season, I think because it was the holidays. If I remember correctly, it was after Christmas that things started to really take a turn for the worse, assumingly because so many petitions started coming in after that. Back then Imad and I were considering applying for the CR-1 and a B-2 and we were observing the K1 and CR-1 trends and boards. Because there will be so many federal holidays, I think they will have to work even harder to pick up the slack, so I would be surprised to see nearly every June filer and some July completed by early January. . .
