Welcome to this stressful waiting game, it sucks. -_-

I've been extremely lucky. I've visited my SO every month this year, and always for a week or more. We've spent a lot of time together, and we agreed when all is said and done and has her visa in hand, she'll stay a month longer for goodbye's and settling things.

I am more stressed with not knowing what awaits from the TSC...not with the being apart from my SO itself.

I know this post may sound boastful, and it's not my intention to offend or cause misery...but really think about it guys, someone out there loves you, and it's better to be joyful on the phone, whatsapp or Facebook or whatever you use, than stress yourself out daily thinking about the TSC.

There was a month I kept talking about nothing but immigration and it caused so much stress between us because it made us feel hopeless. After I gave up thinking about it, and accepted we have to wait, things seem so much better now.

Seriously guys, don't stress your SO with constant I miss you and TSC is evil and so on...when it's over, and your SO is here, you'll find much more stressful things to think about and you'll wish you had more time to prepare. :dancing:

Every situation is different.. if you were a very long distance from your SO, and the non USC was unable to visit because of no longer having sufficient ties to their country . etc etc. I think you would see it differently..... sorry but there is nothing that will compensate.

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number

Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere, and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .

It's nice of you to be encouraging, but it's harder for people to relate to your message if initially you set the tone stating that you've had the luxury and privilege of visiting your fiance regularly while the rest of us are going 5+ months without our SO. I was lucky my job sent me to Europe for work for work for 3 weeks and I had two days two weeks ago to sneak off to Morocco. Those two days makes it a whole lot easier to deal with what I hope is the last month of waiting. On the other hand, seeing you SO while still waiting creates a so close and yet so far feeling in the time in between. After being so close for a while, it's hard to go back to a separation. So I can relate to both sides in a sense. For the most part, I think everyone has their next set of documents for NVC already stamped in the envelope ready to go since we have so much time to prepare!

I can't speak for everyone else, but I've been preparing my apartment for my SO's arrival. I've been cleaning like crazy, looking for a bigger space, thinking about some of the documents I need to gather for the AOS. I'm in domesticate mode fixing up my apartment, looking at houses, perfecting recipes. Anything to get my mind off we still have this long wait ahead. For me preparing for our lives and planning - yes, making a pintrest board of our dream house and future plans is what I've been doing to stay occupied. . .

congratulation to the approved couples!!!! So happy for you and so excited for the rest of us to receive approvals! I just jumped up and down in my office, they really are working on June now! :dancing::goofy::thumbs::dance::dance::dance:

Ladies and gents, may I ask a silly question. I didn't send copies of ALL the pages of my passport. I'm the US petitioner. I sent my photo page, and attached pages showing visa and stamps of my visits to India. Should I be expecting an RFE? I know silly mistake on my part, but just want to be ready.

Also, is it true we both need to sign a new letter of intent for the next stage? What do we say in it? We still want to get married?

As long as you sent prove of having met that's enough also your visa and stamps are enough proves that you travelled. As for the letter of intent to marry as to be like this. Also you just have to update the date it should be maybe 1 week before your interview.

I'd probably be extremely jittery and resentful. :)

I didn't think about those who haven't seen their SO for quite some time. Sorry.
