Hey, i have a question. In my initial 129F petition, I included my fiancées original B/C and original police report. I actually have the originals since I just copied them and sent them to uscis. My question is I heard she has to bring the originals to the interview. Is that really the case or will they waive the requirements since I already have them in the original package? In other words should I send her back the B/C and pice report?

On another thought, it may be time saving by having her just get another set of originals. There's no telling how long the documents would take to get there.

Any thoughts?

If you are the petitioner you did not need to include the birth certificate or police report for the beneficiary, and yes, as for DR both of those documents will be needed at the interview for your fiancée. It won't hurt to get an update police report just in case at time of interview, best of luck!

The total amount of days from the date I mailed in our K1 Visa application to the day my fiancé stepped foot into the USA:

1 year, 3 months and 8 days.

The amount of days from the date we mailed in our AOS to the date everything was approved (after 3 RFEs):

7 months & 5 days

Which makes our journey a total of:

2 years, 3 months, and 8 days

Cool. That shouldn't be a problem. Now my next issue is that I recently started a new job and am on probation for the next 6 months meaning I can't miss work. I'm guessing that's going to be a problem, isn't it?

For the interview that is.

It's not a requirement in the UK for the petitioner to be at the interview - is it for your embassy in your fiancee's country? So it's nice to have the moral support, but if your work is an issue, then it's just another little bump on the road.

I've been totally honest with my work so far, and it's surprising how many romantics there are out there who are prepared to bend and help :)

Why not have a conversation with them - explain the situation, say why you want to go, that it would be unpaid leave, and ask if it would make no difference to your probation, as you are not slacking, lazy, being late for work, or a bad worker - these are the probation issues - plus explain you need to have the job for some time to come as you will be supporting your fiancee who cannot work, so they can rely on you being there for some time.

If they say no, then that's fine. But don't just assume it will be a problem without having a conversation with them - it never hurts to talk.. :)
