I don't know why it took me so long to find this thread (clearly I wasn't looking hard), it's so good to hear people in our month are FINALLY getting through (minus Philippines of course)!!! I received the notification that an action had been completed yesterday, got totally excited, only to find out that they had upgraded the website and the status actually went back from "Initial Processing" to "Case Received". I was, needless to say, totally demoralized given it's 176 days since I filed our application. I'm very excited about everyone else's approvals, and very much look forward to possibly receiving ours in the near future. I've contacted my Senator and asked for them to keep on the file until I get all the way through visa issuance, as Embassy Islamabad is notorious for sitting on applications and holding off interviews. I have a feeling I'm gonna need all the help I can get, no matter how easy our application should've been. CONGRATS all you deserving couples!!!

Ok, I'm sure some of you remember my thread from last week expressing my frustrating on day 167. I'm on day 176 now, with the weird update, having submitted to my Congressman, and now having talked to yet another useless service center employee with the same spiel. I had to wait for the call back from Tier 2, and then got the same "I don't know, we're processing May 6th, just wait" response. So I explained that as a government employee, I would be fired if I told people that I wouldn't give them any information but what they could read on the outward facing website, and that it seems odd that no one would even provide a request to someone to get the case status from the people working it...(his initial response had been "do you really think they're going to get through more cases if we ask them to not only process the cases but also answer all the phone calls?"...to which I replied "no, but I don't think it's unreasonable to request SOMEONE to provide information past what we out here can easily read on your website."). He then agreed to submit a request for them to provide status update to me, which will take 15 days. God willing, we'll already be past NOA2 notification by then, but at least I got SOMEWHERE with someone this time. I thanked him for doing at least something that no one else to date has been willing to do for me, which was request the status. That, at least, is progress with these people. Which is, frankly, pathetic. Chin up (I keep saying to myself), we're almost there.

Sorry but I couldn't stop laughing on your post and the first thing that came into my mind was USCIS telling you: Gotcha...Lol...It happened the same to me and I was at work and almost told everybody: Guys, now it's real and I am leaving y'all...Lol. Not this time but it's coming! Lol.

No kidding! Well I'm back in Canada now...I celebrated with a trip to the dentist for a root canal lol. I guess it took my mind off immigration for a day, other than everyone there asking when I'm moving!!! Lol

Hey guys quick question..

I could have swore I signed up for the txt and email updates but when I log in to see my case, it shows a "N" underneath txt and email notifications. I'm guessing that means no. How do I set it up again?

I just redialed so many times I lost track and then I was on hold for 25 minutes but I got my case #!! Woohoo! It is still processing and I won't know that it has been sent to the embassy until I receive the official letter from NVC. Now I don't know if I should make my appointment now for the interview or wait for the letter. I would hate to make the appointment and then have NVC take forever making my fiancés time to get all paperwork together shorter. In cuba things move so slow they actually appear to move backwards.
