Thanks for your answer!

I was thinking the same thing! On the link you put in here it even says birth certificate is enough evidence!

And his has the stamp on it.. Its not a copy ith the original one he got.

I'm thinking we should just send that back. With a copy of his ID (not sure of my id is the same id in us) but his little card. with all his info on it lol!

And hope for the best. And in the mean time apply for a passport.

His ID card? You mean his driver's license? Or is there something else you're referring to? In any case, I'm not sure that would be enough, lol. When I got our RFE, I called USCIS to confirm with someone what I was supposed to do and she kept saying to me "do exactly what is asked of you in the letter" - nothing more, nothing less. SO helpful, right? Sigh. But don't send anything extra that they didn't specifically ask for. At least, I wouldn't. Send exactly what they want and asked for in the RFE. So if it were me, I'd send back the original birth certificate, not just a copy of the original.

I wish I could help more! It's such a pain in the neck process (ESPECIALLY with the holidays looming, I find myself checking the USCIS website obsessively throughout the day), but in the end it'll all be worth it!!!

It's my last day at my fiancé's house and I was dancing around the kitchen thinking we were approved =(

Sorry but I couldn't stop laughing on your post and the first thing that came into my mind was USCIS telling you: Gotcha...Lol...It happened the same to me and I was at work and almost told everybody: Guys, now it's real and I am leaving y'all...Lol. Not this time but it's coming! Lol.

I hope you hear something this week or next! i've been looking online and most people get an approval within 3 weeks!

One more question on the RFE letter i have a page that you need to send back. It had a box with yes there is a new G-28 or No there is not a new G-28

anyone know what that is for?

I'm glad I could help! :)

I have read that the Form G-28 assigns the attorney as your representative with USCIS... I don't know if that's exactly what it means but that's what they say here according to previous posts!!

Oh God, I hope I hear something this week or next! It's been almost 3 weeks since they received our reply, I'm praying it's soon.

And the G-28 refers to someone applying on your behalf (lawyers)...we didn't use a lawyer and we didn't use one to handle the RFE so I just checked the "no" box.

Also, when you send it back, don't forget to put the cover letter on top!

Congrats!!!!

Same here and we have the same NOA1...I am SOO SURPRISED because I was expecting for a RFE: Didn't include all the pages of his passport, sent a short birth certificate, misspelled his name on the form, didn't write Marry Within 90 days and sent some stupid chat logs, we signed everything with a blank ink pen that really looked like we just scanned everything and I forgot to put the state I am from.. But somehow everything went fine.. So happy!! :)
