Yaayyy fellow Dutchies! We have gotten NOA1 from Texas on June 23rd. We are so frustrated we can't get transferred to California...

Does anyone travel to the USA while waiting for NOA2? What are your experiences?

awesome! have so much fun :)

I visited in May and already feel so restless... trying to be patient till the next visit

Thank you! We're staying at an all-inclusive resort for a week .. haven't seen him in three months and want to do something special before the baby comes, and he comes!

The total amount of days from the date I mailed in our K1 Visa application to the day my fiancé stepped foot into the USA:

1 year, 3 months and 8 days.

The amount of days from the date we mailed in our AOS to the date everything was approved (after 3 RFEs):

7 months & 5 days

Which makes our journey a total of:

2 years, 3 months, and 8 days

(L)"I remember the days I prayed for everything I have now." (L)

YAY! just checked my email and as of an hour ago USCIS sent me an email that my Alien Registration Number has been changed! Not sure what that means but I am definitely happy that my application has had consistent activity on it. I pray that it stays this way, would love for my fiancé to be here for the birth of our baby (L)

It means the applicant got an alien registration number. it happens to everybody who comes to live here.

That will be her/his number for life.

I am sorry, I did not file in June, I did it in Feb 2014. however you posted a question I had before. Yes, your fiancee can come to visit the US. she/he needs to be honest with the CBP officer and let them know she/he will be here to visit you and and then return home.

My girlfirend has visited me twice already and we are planning another trip for mid august. She always carried her flight reservation to show she is returning home and not planning to stay in the US.

@Sigudep81

Thank you for responding! So good to hear this. I am actually the one visiting my American husband-to-be :) he called an immigration officer today and they told him exactly the same!

Hope you guys and gals don't mind me jumping on the bandwagon with my question. We totally thought that my fiance can't come visit me so we decided I will be the one making the trip in December and then again, when the time comes for his interview. If he comes to visit me, other than a return ticket and proof that he is working and etc, does he need any documents regarding our K1 visa application? Does he need to mention that we have an application pending or just say that he is here to visit his fiancee?

I'm the USC petitioner.

My girlfriend did not bring any additional information or specifics about the K-1 application. as soon as the passport is presented to the CBP officer, he/she will know that the person is under immigration proceedings and most likely will ask the question "what is the purpose of the trip?". your fiancée shall be honest and mention that he will be visiting you.

Hi, i got curious when i've read this thread. My fiance sent our package last June 20, 2014 and we haven't received NOA1 yet. :(

Do you have tracking details for your package? Did you send it to lockbox in TX?

If you don't have tracking and you are certain you send it to the correct address for Lockbox, unfortunately you might have to resubmit.
