Hello! i want to share my situation and also would like to know other people's opinion about my case. I received my permanent 10 year green card about 2 months ago. a month ago my husband was charged with domestic violence. he was very abusive, i felt like i lived in a tight cage without any hope to have a future, so after another scandal involving destroying things, screaming, thereatening etc i called the police. he is in jail. i have a protection order and also filed for divorce. i can not wait ot get my life back! i would not with anybody go through that. he theretens me with immigration. says he would sue me for forging the immigration papers! i didn't do that! he signed everything volunterely. i just wanted to know what should i do? he will do everything possible to destroy me. i realize he will need proof, i just want to know what you guys think. can he hurt me in this way too?

He has no case. You now have police records as proof against his character as a person, which can easily make his assertions seem like lies. You couldn't have made it all the way to 10-year GC without his help, so he has no case claiming you forged his signature.

I agree. There is no case for him. Just make sure you do what you need to do to be OK going forward. He can't show anything to the police or USCIS of any proof he was "coerced" or "forced" to do anything. That's why USCIS gathers so much information and takes so much time to give anyone any immigration benefits.

His threats are empty.. Do not fear them and do what is best for you... He can't do anything at this point to interfere with your immigration...
