visa approved but!!!

Hi everyone

Today was my husband's interview and it was approved, the officer said congratulation you r visa is approved and he gave him back everything we sent to NVC and he told him that he is going to have to wait about a week to get his passport with the visa

but when I cheeked ceac now it says administrative processing why u think they updated our case with ap

Not to worry cause my case says the same thing after one day. Its just them getting your stuff ready and being handled. You might see it go back to ready again before it says "issued". Nobody really knows the sequence but just wait for the magic word "issued". Congrats

This is a normal step. it may only be for a very short time while they do final verifications. Ours was only a day in London then it went to issued.

Keep watching but this looks to be normal.

Normal procedure, mine went from AP to issued just yesterday

Congratulations! I was approved on Tuesday and had the same thing. For some reason (impatience probably!) I checked on Wednesday morning and they had updated it to 'issued'. Now just waiting for the courier email....itchy feet!!!! So don't worry at all :-)

As everyone else stated it's normal. Administrative Processing is the generic phrase for anything being done on your case after the interview and before issuance. It could be as little as requesting the visa to as much as further background checks etc. If they had told you at the interview there was an issue, or if you were in AP for a month or more, then you can start to wonder, but it sounds like your is just the standard period between interview and actual issuance. Congrats.

Yes she received her visa package to day. She flies to the Seattle POE on the 18th.

That's cool London2Boston! I just received an email to say that I can collect it on Monday! So excited!!! Congratulations to you too :-)

I-130 - it won't be long. Let us know when it turns to 'issued', we'll keep fingers crossed, but it can't be long now, so don't worry :-)
