Mom's PCC in Ahmedabad, India

Hello everyone,

My mom has her interview scheduled at Mumbai consulate on June 17, 2014. She applied for the Police Clearance Certificate in Ahmedabad last week but since her interview is on Tuesday, she asked them to expedite the process. She called them everyday and they said they would do it the next day. Now, today they said they can't expedite the process and that she will have to wait longer. She can't have her PCC by the date of her interview. Does this create a problem if she goes to the interview without PCC? Her agent called the Mumbai consulate and someone said it is okay to come for the interview without a PCC but I feel like if she did that then that would be a problem. Does anyone have any suggestions?? Please help. Last minute stress is crazy!

Thank you for your help in advance.

PD
