Unfortunately, I didn't create much of mystery. You can check my username history - I was Brown Dwarf.

What was the old account? It was something Japanese wasn't it?

IMHO this thread has outlived its uselessness. I vote 'yae' on shutting it down.

Unless you are a citizen of the US and earn more than $250K annually, you don't GET a vote...

ANY vote on VJ. You don't make enough, and you certainly don't PAY enough for the interwebs that it takes to run this here joint.

Now tell us a good tale so we can all drift off to sleep...

Angry? I is not angry! I just processed 15 lbs of honey, smoked a chicken (some of THE moistest white meat you have never tasted!), started 10 new tomato plants and 8 new sweet potato plants today. I have NOTHING to be angry about, been a great weekend. Plus, it rained a bit today!

10 tomato plants? That's a boat load. I just checked on the garden earlier and things seem to be coming along nicely. I only have one tomato plant mind you. We have a lot of green bean plants this year. They freeze or can well so no biggie. If you're big into gardening, you should hit up the gardening thread in off topic. It's cool to hear what people do and I'm sure someone with as large an endeavor as you seem to have would have some good info.

Thanks for the tip, had no idea it was there.

I had only 4 out of 15 tomato plants survive a storm just after planting, but I started more with the suckers I plucked, in hopes of a later crop of tomatoes. I have about 8 more that I started just after the storm from seeds, plus about 10 "sucker starts", and about 10 more in a jar of water this weekend. I'll prolly be giving away tomatoes all of August and September. :)

Nothing else current. Care to link for me?

We may have to give some away from our one plant if we don't can some. The wife only eats tomatoes in liquid form. I've got some carrots and onions going too, with the hope she can make a complete home grown bolognese sauce.

Weird thing with my tomato plants. I have to start them in the cage and wrap the cage with window screen so they don't get eaten. I'm not sure what eats tomato plants as I always heard rabbits do not. I may have heard somewhere that squirrels will eat tomato plants though......

Sadly, the OP of the Gardening thread requested that it be taken down, almost a month ago. That was an enjoyable thread, too.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
