Nah, the flow isn't good and some of the grammar is wrong. Too much focus on shiny words and not enough on sentence flow. Memorizing words is way easier than producing engaging well structured arguments. A fancy word here and there means nothing.

From what language? I am not sure I follow.

Step one, remove fancy words. Step two, focus on sentence flow. Step three, add a few fancy words where appropriate in a way they will only be noticeable to idiots. Well placed fancy words are what makes a someone an interesting writer. Too many fancy or rare used words make you look like you're trying too hard. And they seriously disrupt sentence flow.

My thing is there is SOME form of racism there. We've agreed that it's both sides that have a problem. Danno would never come to believe this, his entire premise was it's black people's fault.

I've told Danno to go join a black website, because he seems all too eager to put us down to a bunch of white people who couldn't care less. Not saying folks here aren't nice and don't care, but if you want change(like he swore he did) preach to the people, not the choir.

NB, you're over towards Danno so you're seeing Marvin through a distorted lens. I don't think you're in a good position to see either point of view without seeing it through your own.

I never said that. I said there's issues on BOTH sides. Never is it your fault entirely. I blame people for being lazy and not having the gumption to get things done, BUT, I don't ignore the discrimination that any POC faces in every day life.

And the difference between him and I? I'll break bread with anyone, no matter what the color, religion, or even sexual preference. Danno made it clear how he felt about minorities a long time ago.

I am not sure I understand the concept of fancy or rare words. The vast majority of words in the English language have one entry in the dictionary, therefore they can all be considered rare or fancy; one no more special than the other. In fact, I would argue that all words in a language - any language - are common and ordinary for they can be used by anyone. There is no fee to be paid for the use of a specific subset of a lexicon; at least not in English.

Of course, I could be wrong, in which case can you be more precise as to what is required for a word to earn its place in the 'fancy' category?

Ow I completely understand Marvin and if I had grown up with the same set of experiences he had, I would be him, of that I am sure. I a not judging Marvins position or Danno's just saying Marvin plays the other end of the spectrum as much as Danno played his. I am 180 degrees from Danno on many issues, and closer to him that Marvin on others.

All I am saying is he had unpopular opinions, but he almost always backed up his statement with data and he never attacked or insulted anyone, much anyway.

Don't tempt me. Janelle and I talked about this with him several times. He has no black friends, doesn't interact with them, and has no family members who were black. This is why it caused a big issue. He was willing to come here and rag on the black community day in, day out. Yet had no connection with us. In fact, his own words, he was the JFK of race relations. He wanted to change things without actually communing with a black person.
