Maiden name or Married name on Job Application

I recently read on here that some people suggested not to write the Marital Status on the Resume, so how can I explain the name changed?

Should I use my married name or maiden name on the job application if my SSN & EAD are using my married name? (I'm confuse because my transcript from university is using my maiden name) OR Should I write both married and maiden name on the Resume?

Just apply in your married name. They will see your transcripts in your maiden name and assume you were at least married at some point. Once you're hired, then you'll give your status, as some benefits my apply to your spouse. But making hiring decisions based on marital status is discrimination here, therefore its left off the resume.

As what Caryh advised, I am also applying using my married name in my resume. It will be apparent to your prospective employer that you were recently married. All the more that you use your married name since it is what is reflected on your SSN and immigration document, that is your EAD and later on, on your GC, and when the employer check on E-verify, your married name should be the one they should use for checking. Your maiden name won't be there, so get used to to your new married name. Embrace it. I know the feeling. I'm also still getting used to my new signature. :D

i would stick with the name on the ssn and EAD card.

makes it easier later after the job is offered and started.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
