Hello everyone!!! I'm new in this site but it was one of my go to for my research about starting my visa application. So I am looking forward in hearing from you guys!!!

Anyhow, I recently got married last May 2014, and me and my husband would want to start our visa application so that I can join him in the U.S and start our family life together. We planned on filing for k3 visa, however I have just read from forums that its obsolete and that the waiting time is about the same as the cr1 visa. If so, how long exactly is the cr1 processed and approved? Thank you so much!- KristineMontoya

Submitting the I-130 Petition without the I-129F, will get you exactly what you want in the end hopefully -- a visa. No one can say "exactly" how long it will take, but with the expedited approvals at USCIS for the Philippines, there have been approved I-130s anywhere from a week to 30 days +/-.

Then you still have to get through NVC and wait for the interview to be scheduled.

That would usually be pretty accurate, in the OPs case, petitions for Philippine beneficiaries are being expedited.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

hello..weve already sent our i130 package and our PD is May 29,2014.just want to ask if it is better to send an expedite letter to USCIS if we want to have an early appoval on our case. ..thank you and god bless :)

HI! My name is april from the Philippines and my priority date is 12MARCH2010 with preference category of F2B.


The Consulate sent me a letter last September 2010 regarding my Case number.



I would like to ask because i just saw in the US consulate website regarding the ff:



One Year Contact Requirement


After you receive notification that the NVC is processing your case, you must contact them at least once a year. If you do not contact the NVC for one year, all documents and fees on your case will expire and you must resubmit them to resume processing.


If my parents wasn't able to follow up then that means that my petition is now invalid.?


attached is the NVC's message when i checked my case status, what does it mean literally.?


It really makes me sad. can anyone please help me with this.


I am currently living and working in Dubai would it be possible to forward my petition from the philippines to here.?



I will wait for anyone's help. Please kindly reply. Thank you very much.
