What is "packet 3"? IR1/CR1

I've been confused on what packet 3 is. I know that packet 4 is the interview letter, I got that in my email today, but I don't know if I missed a packet 3? I just noticed that the timeline section on VJ has two spots that say:

Date Rec Instructions (Pkt 3) :

Date Complete Instructions (Pkt 3) :

so I was assuming packet 3 is the email that confirms your case is complete? This would explain why I haven't gotten one yet- as I was notified of a CC through a second checklist email yesterday. Am I way off? :bonk:

Thank you for reading this/replying. :)

I don't think you need to worry about packer 3. I had to do packet 3 because my case was expedited so nothing ever made it to NVC but basically that packet was a checklist requesting all my original documents. I think it applies more to k1 visas

Yes no Packet 3 for us. Just be sure to check out any specifics for your embassy (how they deliver the Visa) but everything is done now you just get to sit back and wait. Oh and medical too. ;)
