Hello all,

I'm sure a similar question may have been asked before, but please bare with me.

7 yrs ago my wife came over from Japan to the states where I was stationed ( Air Force) on a fiancee visa and we were married. About 10 months later I was re-assigned back to Japan, where we've been since 2008. I'm retiring in August and my original plan was to stay in Japan, but due to unforeseen circumstances we need to move back to the states. We also have a son together, but he was born on base and has dual citizenship.

Does anyone know the quickest route to acquire a visa so I can bring her along with me when I leave in August?

Thank you

was she on your PCS orders in 2008? If yes - it's my understanding that she not leave USA soil.

Of course - if you two not follow up with the RoC Casefile circa 5 years ago - she's abandoned permanent residency.

What's what ?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

ok - she's abandoned permanent residency since not filing for ROC prior. So ya gotta start over. I think.

Luckily - military expedites are granted often and with some speed. We've a military section here - check it out !
