Does my fiancee need to wait to go and get her official birth certificate long version until closer to the interview date or can she get it right away? She seems to think she needs to wait until a month before but that doesnt make a whole lot of sense to me...

Did you get the NVC letter yet?

Your fiance can get the birth certificate in extensa now, it has to be certified (it will be a little stamp on the back)

The police certificate (buena conducta) she has to get it at the Procuradoria, but it expires in 30 days, so she can get it closer to the day of the interview.

She can fill out the DS160 and get the recent 2x2 photos, remember she needs a digital copy to upload it for the form...and the medical check up at Consultorio de Visa, at least 10-15 days prior to the interview...but maybe wait until you get the NVC letter that will inform you that your case has been sent to the US consulate.

PS., cute couple :)

What's the Procuradoria?

you get the police certificate at the justice hall.(palacio de justicia)

To get the police certificate you pay the tax at banreservas , then you go to the justice hall and get the police certificate.
