Contacted the Congressman and got an email from TSC within 24 hours.

HI All,

Don't shoot the messenger. My other half's mother (future mother in law) used to work for the White House. Anyway after getting a rather abrupt email from our immigration attorney (and without me knowing) she contacted the Congressman......

She submitted some information including a privacy information form and within 24 hours got an email from TSC saying the they have received contact from the Congressman and our case is in initial review (currently 132 days from NOA1) and not much else.

Anybody had similar???

I think we did. Many years ago.

2007 or so my husband's greencard was stuck in a backlog. After about 18 months of this nonsense, a lawyer friend of ours offered to get in touch with his old law school roommate who was VERY well connected. The connection told us that he couldn't cause a decision to occur right away. But that if the case was just lying on someone's desk waiting to be worked on, he might be able to move it to the front of the pile. (In these cases back then, the name check clearances had been done to issue the greencard, but there were not enough personnel to move the clearance from the FBI to USCIS.)

In our case, it took about 30 days and we had a positive response. And that was an excellent result back them.
